Ladies and gentlemen and boys and girls: can you guess w.ho's back? If you guessed this page then you guessed right! Now with that being said let's take a look at what's next for the Texas Rangers in this offseason
Since we last talked or spoke to each other lots of changes have been made in the Texas Rangers organization. First and foremost: both Chris Woodward and President and GM Jon Daniels were both "fired" by the organization. You know how much I never really "dogged" Jon Daniels you could see that over the last couple of years he was just not in it anymore. The front office has been transformed by the new VP of baseball operations and GM Chris :Young(whom has said as a DFW native: he's tired of losing). So with that being said, what can they do to move the needle forward?
This team needs pitching and is willing to do what it takes to bring in a top tier pitcher or two: so who are my thoughts as to whom they might be targeting? Really, all eyes are on: Jacob DeGrom! But they are in on Rodon and Senga too. Just because you don't see rumors regarding players doesn't mean anything. So what if they got two of those pitchers how would the pitching lineup look for new manager: Bruce Bochy
1) DeGrom/Rodon
2) Senga
3) Perez
4) Gray
5) Odorizzi
But what if they only sign one of those pitchers:
1) DeGrom/Rodon/Senga
2) Perez
3) Gray
4) Odorizzi
5) Otto or Dunning(if Dunning is healthy, I'm certain it'll be him)
But what else does the Texas Rangers need to be successful and potentially get into the wild card game for next year? They need a middle of the order bat that can DH and play outfield potentially. So what names do I see as intriguing to the Rangers? I have three names on the list: Joey Gallo, Cody Bellinger, and Andrew Benintendi. Here's how I could potentially see their lineup stacking up next year:
1) Semien
2) Seager
3) Gallo/Benintendi/Bellinger
4) Garcia
5) Lowe
6) Garver
7) Jung
8) Thompson
9) Tavarez
